Radnja prikazuje kako otkriva kako je brat opsjednut duhom mrtvog serijskog ubice. The Possession je poznat kao prva značajnija uloga u karijeri Perryja Kinga, ali i po kontroverzama koje je prilikom kasnije video-distribucije izazvala scena u kojoj se jedno od protagonistkinje djece pojavljuje golo.
