72의 법칙
금융에서 72의 법칙, 70의 법칙[1], 69.3의 법칙은 투자 자금의 배가 시간을 측정하는 방식이다. 배가에 필요한 대략적인 연수를 구하기 위해 법칙 숫자(예: 72)를 연이율로 나누게 된다. 계산기와 스프레드시트 프로그램들이 정확한 배가 시간을 구하는 함수를 갖추고 있지만 이 법칙은 암산을 한다든지 기초적인 계산기만 이용할 수 있는 상황에서 유용하다.[2]
법칙의 선택
72의 법칙은 이용하기 편리한 분자로 간주되는데, 그 이유는 크기가 작고 수많은 약수가 존재하기 때문이다: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 9, 12.
