ミュー (MEW、英: Mew) は、デンマークのオルタナティヴ・ロック・バンド。1994年結成。コペンハーゲン出身。

  • 1994年
    • 学校で自然の破壊力についてのフィルムを作るために一緒になった幼馴染のヨーナスとボウ、ヨハン3人と、そしてスィラスの4人によってデンマークのヘレルプで結成。
  • 1997年
    • アルバム『A Triumph for Man』発売。
  • 2000年
    • アルバム『Half The World Is Watching Me』発売。
  • 2003年
    • アルバム『Frengers』発売。日本を含む全世界でPRされ、大きな成果を上げた。
    • 日本での公演及びサマーソニックに出演。その後、R.E.M.の北欧ツアーに同行。
    • デンマークの音楽評論家によるアワードで、「アルバム・オブ・ザ・イヤー」「バンド・オブ・ザ・イヤー」を受賞。
  • 2005年
    • アルバム『And The Glass Handed Kites』発売。デンマークの音楽アワード『DMA06』で4つの賞を獲得。
  • 2006年
    • 4月11日、ベースのヨハン・ウォーラートが脱退。ツアーはサポートベーシストが務めた。

    • サマーソニックに出演。
    • アルバム『NO MORE STORIES ARE TOLD TODAY I'M SORRY THEY WASHED AWAY NO MORE STORIES THE WORLD IS GREY I'M TIRED LET'S WASH AWAY』を発売。その後、ナイン・インチ・ネイルズのヨーロッパツアー・アメリカツアーに同行。
  • 2010年
    • 新曲「Do You Love It?」を含むベスト・アルバム『Eggs Are Funny』を発売。
  • 2013年
    • 1月23日、ソニーとの契約が終了した事および新しい作品を制作する事をフェイスブックで報告。5月6日からレコーディングを開始した。
    • 11月25日に、シングル「Making Friends (13)」をiTunes Storeにてデジタル販売。
  • 2014年
    • 6月14日、元ベーシストのヨハン・ウォーラートが8年ぶりにMewに復帰する事を発表した[1]。
  • 2015年
    • 4月24日、約5年半ぶりのスタジオアルバム『+ -（プラスマイナス）』をプレイ・イット・アゲイン・サムから発売。マイケルバインホーン（英語版）によるプロデュースで、初めて地元であるデンマークのコペンハーゲンで録音（メインボーカルはEvil office本社で録音）。ジャケットはかつてビョークやマドンナ等を手がけたエムエムパリス（英語版）によるもの[2]。
    • 7月2日ギタリストのボウ・マドセン（Bo Madsen）が脱退。 脱退の理由は明らかにされていないが。声明では「for the time being（当分の間、さしあたり）」という表現を使っている。 ライヴにはマッズ・ウェーグナー（Mads Wegner）が代役のギタリストとして参加。
