Epitome of Torture on saksalaisen thrash metal -yhtye Sodomin 14. studioalbumi. Se julkaistiin Euroopassa 26. huhtikuuta sekä Yhdysvalloissa 7. toukokuuta 2013. Albumi on yhtyeen ensimmäinen rumpali Markus ”Makka” Freiwaldin kanssa.[1]

Vastaanotto

Albumi sai pääosin hyvän vastaanoton. Kaaoszinen Sami Elamaa piti albumia ”raakana, nopeana ja ilkeänä julkaisuna”.[3] MetalSucks -sivuston arvioija antoi albumille kolme tähteä viidestä. Hän piti sitä hyvänä perusalbumina ja kuuntelun arvoisena teoksena, vaikkei pitänytkään sitä yhtenäisenä tai erityisen muistettavana.[4] Angry Metal Guy antoi albumille arvosanan 2/5, ja sanoi albumia hätäisesti tehdyksi, kypsymättömäksi eikä hän pitänyt kappaleita tarttuvana, sekä sanoi sen olevan yksi yhtyeen pohjanoteerauksista.[1] Blabbermouthin Ray Van Horn piti albumia tunnelmaltaan usvaisena, erinomaiseksi hiottuna teoksena. Kehuja saivat erityisesti kitaristi Bernemannin kitarasoolot.[5] Imperiumin Marko Saarinen sanoo palasten loksahtaneen pitkästä aikaa kohdalleen, vaikka yhtye kierrättääkin omaa tuotantoaan.[6]
