Yūta Nara (Japanese: 奈良勇太, born 7 March 1996) is a Japanese Greco-Roman wrestler. He competes in the 130 kg weight category.[1]
Career
[edit]Nara represented Japan at the 2019 World Wrestling Championships in Nur-Sultan, where he placed 12th in the 97 kg category.[2]
He won bronze medals at the 2023 Asian Wrestling Championships in Astana (97 kg) and 2025 Asian Wrestling Championships in Amman (130 kg).[3]
Earlier in his career, he took bronze at the 2017 Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, in the 98 kg category.[4]
Nara finished 8th at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta, Indonesia, competing in the 97 kg division.[5]
He is a graduate of the Nippon Sport Science University.[6] His father, Hidenori Nara, was also a Greco-Roman wrestler.
