Biography

[edit]

Richard Anthony Crenna was born in Los Angeles as the son of actor and Emmy Award winner Richard Donald Crenna and his second wife, actress Penni Sweeney. He has an older half-sister, Seanna, from his father's first marriage, and a younger sister, Maria, who later became a television executive.

In 1986, he began his acting career by starring as Ross Perot Jr. in the television miniseries On Wings of Eagles, opposite his father portraying Perot Jr.'s real-life father, Ross Perot. He then had a minor role in the 1988 science fiction remake The Blob, and portrayed one of the protagonists in the Italian horror films Killer Crocodile and Killer Crocodile 2, filmed back-to-back in the Dominican Republic.

He continued to star in minor film and television roles well into the 2000s.
