Mt. Erie Township is located in Wayne County, Illinois. As of the 2010 census, its population was 370 and it contained 177 housing units.[2]

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 53.51 square miles (138.6 km2), of which 53.37 square miles (138.2 km2) (or 99.74%) is land and 0.15 square miles (0.39 km2) (or 0.28%) is water.[2]
