Goodlet Higher Secondary School is a Government-aided school managed by Church of South India located in Sholinghur, Vellore District, Tamil Nadu.

History

Year Development
1885 The School was started by the Church of Scotland Mission.
1912 The Australian Presbyterian Mission took charge of the school and maintained it as Elementary School.
1917 Raised to the status of Middle School.
1931 Permanent recognition obtained for Middle School.
1944 Raised to the status of High School.
1946 The school was Housed in the Building Of CMC.[1]
1947 First batch of Student sent up for S.S.L.C Public Examination.
1950 Management taken over by the Board of Higher Education, Church of South India, Madras Diocese.
1953 The name of the school was changed to the Goodlet Higher Secondary School.
1961 Permanent Recognition granted up to X standard.
1978 Raised to the status of a Higher secondary School.
