The Ecclesiastical Licences Act 1536[a] (28 Hen. 8. c. 16) was an act of the Parliament of England.
Subsequent developments
[edit]The preamble to, and section 2 of the act, the act was repealed by section 1 of, and schedule 1 to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1948 (11 & 12 Geo. 6. c. 62).
The words "And that all ecclesiasticall" to "their obedience and" in section 3 of the act were repealed by section 1 of, and schedule 1 to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1948 (11 & 12 Geo. 6. c. 62).
Section 4 of the act was repealed by section 1 of, and schedule 1 to, the Statute Law Revision Act 1948. Section 1 of the act, from "and shall never" onwards was repealed by section 13(2) of, and part I of schedule 4 to, the Criminal Law Act 1967.
The whole act, so far as unrepealed, was repealed by section 1 of, and part II of the schedule to, the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1969.
