Burgdorf railway station (German: Bahnhof Burgdorf; French: Gare de Berthoud) is a railway station in the municipality of Burgdorf, in the Swiss canton of Bern. It sits at the junction of three the standard gauge railway lines: the Olten–Bern line of Swiss Federal Railways and the Burgdorf–Thun and Solothurn–Langnau lines of BLS AG.[1]
Services
The following services stop at Burgdorf:[5][6][7][8]
- InterRegio: half-hourly service between Bern and Olten; trains continue to Chur via Zürich Hauptbahnhof every hour.
- Bern S-Bahn S4/S44: half-hourly service to Thun and hourly service to Langnau i.E., Solothurn, or Sumiswald-Grünen.
- S41: hourly service between Thun and Solothurn.
- S42: limited service to Konolfingen or Thun.
- S46: morning rush-hour service on weekdays to Ostermundigen.
