The sport has its foundation in the early 1980s.[1]
The governing body for baseball in the country is the Swiss Baseball and Softball Federation (SBSF), which is based in Therwil. Championnat de Suisse de baseball is the national professional baseball league (NLA and NLB).[4]
Teams
[edit]The top three divisions in Swiss baseball are the NLA, NLB and 1. Liga.[5] As of 2025, there are seven teams in both the NLA and NLB and seventeen teams in the 1. Liga.
